Benediction

The force of heaven’s nearness
Manifested on our shore,
An interlude of glory
Poised to echo evermore.

Infused with newfound vigor,
We embrace the pontiff’s zeal.
We grasp the torch as offered—
May we keep its fire real.

Our land still rapt in wonder,
Our souls bear renewed chrism.
Heaven radiates our world
And leaves a lasting prism.
